i Pass Man 1.0

If you sometimes forget your online passwords and log-in data, you're not alone. You need iPassMan. It provides a helpful way to collect your usernames, passwords, and related Web sites and keep them organized and secure. This program's simple design and encryption end forgotten log-in information. The program's interface takes a matter of seconds to master. The controls are easy to master even though the program lacks a Help file. This program acts as a filing system for all your log-in information. You simply create a new entry and fill in the appropriate Web site, user name and password, and iPassMan automatically saves your entry. You can scroll alphabetically through our entries afterward. The program keeps this sensitive information safe by requiring a master password when it starts. The description claimed our information was heavily encrypted, but with no way to test this, we had to take their word for it. This is a bare-bones program, but actually provides one special feature, an option that lets you open on any Web page you insert. This proved to be a helpful time-saver. All in all, this is a solid program that can help you manage your ever-growing collection of usernames and passwords. One more thing: iPassMan is free. Its ability to help you keep track of your passwords and log-in data earns our high recommendation.iPassMan is a simple utility for managing usernames and passwords for all your online accounts. Incorporating strong encryption with the internationally accepted Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), this program ensures that the security of your details is never compromised. When you first install iPassMan, you are asked to choose a master password. All accounts you add to the program are automatically encrypted and saved to your computer - the only way anyone can view them is by knowing the master password. Simple.

Gmail - [nidokidos] Recover Deleted Files from Hard Disk or Memory Disk - pandian58@gmail.com

Recuva is a free file recovery program that makes it extremely easy to locate files that were once thought to be lost forever. The wizard-like approach and intuitive user interface will appeal to all user levels. The program opens with a very sleek, professional user interface. We found it extremely easy to navigate right off the bat, but it does employ a wizard to walk you through the file recovery process. All we had to do was select either the C or D drive, or both, from a drop-down menu. If you have a general idea of where the file may be, you can pick from a list of file paths, including Pictures, Music, Documents, Video, and Compressed files. As soon as we clicked the Scan button, the program immediately went to work, and within seconds, it had pulled up a very long list of deleted files and their respective paths. The program's Advanced view gave us more detailed information of each file, including the file's size and creation time. Recovering selected files was also extremely easy and involved simply checking off the file or files and clicking the Recover button. Within seconds, the file was recovered and saved to our location of choice.Though we don't think you'll need it, we were disappointed to find that the program doesn't include any kind of Help file. It does, however, include a link to the publisher's Web site, which contains a forum. All in all, Recuva is an excellent choice for anyone in need of reliable file recovery.Recuva (pronounced 'recover') is a freeware Windows utility to restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. This includes files emptied from the Recycle bin as well as images and other files that have been deleted by user error from digital camera memory cards or MP3 players. It will even bring back files that have been deleted by bugs, crashes and viruses.

BumpTop replaces your desktop with a visual environment unlike any you've used. It's a bit like a futuristic gesture-based interface, but it's tied to your mouse. Were it capable of simultaneous Web browsing, its utility would be much more apparent.BumpTop makes the items on your computer's desktop more like their real-world counterparts. Icons and folders are assigned a virtual weight based on the amount of memory they take up and their importance to you. You can move them by click-and-drag, or fling them across the BumpTop space. The program determines their importance based on how often you use them, but you can also alter that by hand. In a way, BumpTop takes the 'Cover Flow' concept to the next level. Stack items to keep them organized, flip through them as you would a photo album, sprawl them across the desktop arbitrarily, or order them in staid grids. Circular wheel pie menus make options a mouse flick away, and the 3D 'walls' make for fast posting to Facebook, e-mailing, and Twittering. To alter a group of items, you lasso them--but you probably haven't used a lasso like this before. Unlike the square-edged standard Windows lasso, this one lets you select objects by drawing circles around them. Icons can be more scattered without it slowing your work flow because factors like angle, size changing, proximity, and icon flipping all impact on how you interact with your desktop. There's a built-in photo viewer, and although it doesn't allow for user interactions yet, the Safari and Chrome browsing engine WebKit is baked in, too.If WebKit moves toward integrating browsing with your desktop in a customizable manner, and more gesture-based hardware support becomes commonplace, it could push how we use our computers into a whole new dimension.BumpTop is a fun, intuitive, 3D desktop that keeps you organized and makes you more productive. It combines the look and feel of a real desk with the power of your PC. You can pile your files, flip through websites and toss your photos up to Twitter or Facebook quickly and easily, right from your desktop. Advanced search and sort capabilities make sure you can find your files when you need them. Personalize your desktop with custom themes, sticky notes and photo slideshows and turn your desktop into a useful, fun space instead of a graveyard of lost or forgotten files. An upgrade to Pro version will add such features as unlimited sticky notes and enhanced productivity and piling features.

Gmail - [nidokidos] How to Clean a Dirty CD / DVDs - pandian58@gmail.com

Do you know how to clean a CD? Every time you keep your CD/DVD outside the pouch, there is a high possibility that the CD could get dirty, smudged or fingerprinted. And the problem with most of you is that you want to clean it but you don’t know how to clean it in such a dirty condition.
Cleaning Dirty CD / DVDs
For all those who want to clean a dirty CD/DVD with minimum effort in the cheapest way, follow the process with simple steps given below in order.

* Find yourself a container (a medium sized one which is good enough to submerge a disk in it)
* Squeeze into the container a table spoon of liquid soap or window cleaning solution. You can also use all-natural cleaning liquid made out of distilled water.
* Now pour clean water into the container and fill it. Now the water should become soapy once it gets mixed with the cleaning solution added whatsoever.
* Now put the dirty disk into the container filled with soapy water. Leave it there for about a minute or two.
* Now remove the disk from the soapy water container and rinse it with running warm water.
* Repeat the process if the disk is still a bit dirty. In case the smudges on the disk are stubborn, you can use a soft cloth to rub soap on those parts.
* Finally shake off the excess water and let the disk to dry naturally. Do not use any artificial blower or hair drier.

Now you have your shiny good as new CD which can be easily run on your computer and there are less chances of getting data copy errors on running it."

EASY TO USE VIDEO EDITOR

Making simple crop edits to videos of all formats shouldn't be tricky business, but most tools out there either do way too much or are so belabored with ads that who knows what evil lurks within their code.Open-source on the GNU license, Avidemux is a breath of fresh air. Cropping a video is as simple as selecting the section you want to remove and then hitting the Delete key. Re-encoding a video is equally painless: select the output format from the drop-down list, save the file, and you're good to go. When choosing where to start and stop a crop, there's both incremental and multisecond advance and rewind tools, There's also a not insubstantial list of video and audio codecs that files can be converted to. Video formats include multiple codecs for FLV, MPEG, AVI, VCD, H.263/4, and others, while audio formats include MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WAV, and one or two more. The program also includes advanced options, including generic decoder and post-processing tools, user-defined filters, GlyphSet adjustments, and more features. Avidemux should appeal to users of all abilities who are looking for a quick way to edit down video files.Avidemux is a video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports many file types, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs. Tasks can be automated using projects, job queue and powerful scripting capabilities. The program was written from scratch by Mean, but code from other people and projects has been used as well. Patches, translations and even bug reports are always welcome.

See Television on your Computer !

"Operating systems:
Windows 95, Windows Me, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 98
Limitations:
Not available.
Publisher's description
While we love the idea of free TV (who doesn't?), it never seems to be quite what we hoped. FreeZ Online TV is no exception. The channel selection is unimpressive and user guidance is nonexistent. The most confusing things about the program are the links that appear on the initial screen when the program is opened. We mistakenly believed they might provide more guidance for the program but instead directed us to two different sites promising free online TV. Both require additional downloads, and weren't related to FreeZ Online TV.That said, once we explored those two false leads, the program itself proved fairly easy to operate, although disappointing in its outcomes. A standard viewing screen sits next to a file tree with 16 main categories, including News, Entertainment, and Weather. Within each category are at least a half dozen channel choices, but many are not in English. Simply click one and it begins playing. The typical media controls to stop, start, pause, etc., become visible at the bottom of the screen as the content buffers. What you won't find are any guides to the channels, which seem randomly selected from various countries around the world. All you get are the call letters (like WSTV) or largely unrecognizable names like NOS Journaal. We also found that many of the listed channels didn't play at all. There are no user settings, so you can't delete or add your own channels, and no Help file or other user guidance is available.During installation, a box is pre-checked that will add the FreeZ Online TV Toolbar, so be sure to uncheck this if you don't want this little extra. Or, better yet, skip the download altogether and avoid not only the toolbar but this unimpressive program as well.FreeZ Online TV program that can receive over 500+ free online channels of daily and live broadcasts from around the world. There is no need for a PC TV card because the TV channels are streamed through your Internet connection. It allows watcher to watch directly into TV. You can watch in regular or full-screen mode. This software comes with automatic TV station updates so it will never be out of date. Download now and get access to live TV and watch TV online anywhere, anytime all from the comfort of your PC.

Blogger: VIRTUAL FRIEND

VIRTUAL FRIEND "I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.
One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high.

My older cousin, Tammy, was also in the same tree. She was hanging on the first big limb, about ten feet below me. Tammy's mother also noticed us at the exact time my dad did. About that time a huge gust of wind came over the tree. I could hear the leaves start to rattle and the tree begin to sway. I remember my dad's voice over the wind yell, 'Bart, Hold on tightly.' So I did. The next thing I know, I heard Tammy screaming at the top of her lungs, laying flat on the ground. She had fallen out of the tree.
I scampered down the tree to safety. My dad later told me why she fell and I did not. Apparently, when Tammy's mother felt the gust of wind, she yelled out, 'Tammy, don't fall!' And Tammy did. fall.

My dad then explained to me that the mind has a very difficult time processing a negative image. In fact, people who rely on internal pictures cannot see a negative at all. In order for Tammy to process the command of not falling, her nine-year-old brain had to first imagine falling, then try to tell the brain not to do what it just imagined. Whereas, my eight-year-old brain instantly had an internal image of me hanging on tightly.
This concept is especially useful when you are attempting to break a habit or set a goal. You can't visualize not doing something. The only way to properly visualize not doing something is to actually find a word for what you want to do and visualize that. For example, when I was thirteen years old, I played for my junior high school football team. I tried so hard to be good, but I just couldn't get it together at that age. I remember hearing the words run through my head as I was running out for a pass, 'Don't drop it!' Naturally, I dropped the ball.

My coaches were not skilled enough to teach us proper 'self-talk.' They just thought some kids could catch and others couldn't. I'll never make it pro, but I'm now a pretty good Sunday afternoon football player, because all my internal dialogue is positive and encourages me to win. I wish my dad had coached me playing football instead of just climbing trees. I might have had a longer football career.

Here is a very easy demonstration to teach your kids and your friends the power of a toxic vocabulary. Ask them to hold a pen or pencil. Hand it to them. Now, follow my instructions carefully. Say to them, 'Okay, try to drop the pencil.' Observe what they do.
Most people release their hands and watch the pencil hit the floor. You respond, 'You weren't paying attention. I said TRY to drop the pencil. Now please do it again.' Most people then pick up the pencil and pretend to be in excruciating pain while their hand tries but fails to drop the pencil.

The point is made.
If you tell your brain you will 'give it a try,' you are actually telling your brain to fail. I have a 'no try' rule in my house and with everyone I interact with. Either people will do it or they won't. Either they will be at the party or they won't. I'm brutal when people attempt to lie to me by using the word try. Do they think I don't know they are really telegraphing to the world they have no intention of doing it but they want me to give them brownie points for pretended effort? You will never hear the words 'I'll try' come out of my mouth unless I'm teaching this concept in a seminar.

If you 'try' and do something, your unconscious mind has permission not to succeed. If I truly can't make a decision I will tell the truth. 'Sorry John. I'm not sure if I will be at your party or not. I've got an outstanding commitment. If that falls through, I will be here. Otherwise, I will not. Thanks for the invite.'
People respect honesty. So remove the word 'try' from your vocabulary.

My dad also told me that psychologists claim it takes seventeen positive statements to offset one negative statement. I have no idea if it is true, but the logic holds true. It might take up to seventeen compliments to offset the emotional damage of one harsh criticism.
These are concepts that are especially useful when raising children."

An Inspirational Story

"Your life today is the result of your attitudes and choices in the past. Your life tomorrow will be the result of your attitudes and choices today.
This is a story of an elderly carpenter who had been working for a contractor for many many years. He had built many beautiful houses but now as he was getting old, he wanted to retire and lead a leisurely life with his family. So, he goes to the contractor and tells him about his plan of retiring. The contractor feels sad at the prospect of losing a good worker but agrees to the plan because the carpenter had indeed become too fragile for the tough building work. But as a last request, he asks the old carpenter to construct just one last house.

The old man agrees and starts working but his heart was not in his work any more. He had lost the motivation towards work. So, he resorted to shoddy workmanship and constructed the house half-heartedly. After the house was built, the contractor handed over the front door keys to the carpenter and said, This is your new house. My gift to you. The carpenter was shocked and upset. Had he known that he was building his own house, he would have done a better job! Now, he would have to live in the house, which is not worth staying.
Think of yourself as the carpenter. You work hard every day but are you giving your best? We put our least to the work we don't like or do not have interest in. Later, we get shocked at the situation we have created for ourselves and try to figure out why we didn't do it differently.

Enjoy your tasks and carry on your responsibilities with pleasure and not with pain. Life is a do-it-yourself project. Do your job enthusiastically and with devotion, a positive output and a pleasing life will certainly be on your way.

Publisher's description of TeamViewer
TeamViewer is a simple and fast solution for remote control, desktop sharing and file transfer that works behind any firewall and NAT proxy. To connect to another computer just run TeamViewer on both machines without the need of an installation procedure. With the first start automatic partner IDs are generated on both computers. Enter your partner's ID into TeamViewer and the connection is established immediately. With over 15 million users TeamViewer is a standard tool to give support and assistance to people in remote locations. The software can also be used for presentations, where you can show your own desktop to a partner. TeamViewer is completely free for private use.
TeamViewer is an excellent screen-sharing and file-transfer app that can be used to facilitate business collaborations as well as helping distraught relatives diagnose and cure computer problems. Along with being free for noncorporate use, it gives users precisely the tools they need to share screens securely, send files with a minimum of hassle, control access rights, and even flip which user has control. The options available while you're in control work smoothly. You can maximize the pane that the other computer's screen is visible in, as well as utilize several smart options from a drop-down toolbar in the center of the window. A big X lets you close the connection, while the Actions button lets you switch whose in control, disable remote input, and reboot remotely. The View menu hides options to adjust the screen resolution, the optimization toward speed or quality, and control multiple-monitor displays. When you log in, you're given an access code and a password. Sharing those allows your computer to be controlled by the level you set it to: remote support, presentation, file transfer, or VPN. The TeamViewer servers remember which computers you've connected to, so reconnecting to previously shared computers happens faster. TeamViewer also has a Web-based version, for remote connecting to home from public computer. Even the installation process is impressive. Users can toggle admin rights, can opt out of running at startup, and can opt into installing the TeamViewer VPN driver for more secure screensharing. Overall, TeamViewer makes screensharing and file-sharing as fluid and unobtrusive as it should be.

SOCIAL WEBSITES-TUBELY'S GUIDELINES

"Tubely makes it easy to express yourself, connect with friends and make new ones, but who you let into your space, how you interact with them, and how you present yourself online are important things to think about when using social networking sites.
Here are some common sense guidelines that you should follow when using Tubely: Don't forget that your profile and Tubely forums are public spaces. Don't post anything you wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., your phone number, address, IM screen names, or specific whereabouts). Avoid posting anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find you, such as where you hang out every day or a picture of you in front of your office or school.
People aren't always who they say they are.
Be careful about adding strangers to your friends list. It's fun to connect with new Tubely friends from all over the world, but avoid meeting people in person whom you do not fully know. If you must meet someone, do it in a public place and bring a friend or trusted adult. Harassment, hate speech and inappropriate content should be reported. If you feel someone's behavior is inappropriate, react. Report it to Tubely.
Don't post anything that would embarrass you later.
It's easy to think that only our friends are looking at our Tubely page, but the truth is that everyone can see it. Think twice before posting a photo or information you wouldn't want your parents, potential employers, colleges or boss to see! It's easy to think that only our friends are looking at our Tubely page, but the truth is that everyone can see it.
Think twice before posting a photo or information you wouldn't want your parents, potential employers, colleges or boss to see!
Don't say you're over 18 if you're not. Don't say you're younger than 18 if you're not. If Tubely customer service determines you are under 18 and pretend to be older, we will delete your profile. Don't say you're older than you are. Tubely members must be 18 years of age or older. We take extra precautions to protect our younger members and we are not able to do so if you do not identify yourself as such. If Tubely customer service determines you are under 18 and pretend to be older, we will delete your profile.
Tubely is a public space. Members shouldn't post anything they wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., phone number, address, IM screen name, or specific whereabouts). Don't post anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find you, such as your local hang out.
It's always fun to post pictures but remember that what you might consider a harmless picture of you and your friends in your uniforms at a school football game, is actually a map telling a stranger exactly where you go to school. Don't post anything that could embarrass you later or expose you to danger.
Please remember that Tubely is public and many people have access to what you post, including potential employers, colleges, your teachers and peers at school that you might not even know. You shouldn't post photos or info you wouldn't want adults to see or people to know about you. Protect your privacy. Set your profile to private which lets only your friends view your profile. Only accept friend invitations from people you know and trust.
Don't get hooked by a phishing scam. Phishing is a method used by fraudsters to try to get your personal information, such as your username and password, by pretending to be a site you trust. If you suddenly start receiving abnormal bulletins or messages from a friend, they might have been phished. Check with them before opening any files or clicking on any links. If you think you, or a friend, are a victim of phishing, change your password immediately.
Avoid in-person meetings. Don't get together in person with someone you 'meet' online unless you are certain of their actual identity. Talk it over with an adult first. Although it's still not risk-free, arrange any meetings in a public place and bring along friends, your parents, or a trusted adult. Think before you post. What's uploaded to the net can be downloaded by anyone and passed around or posted online pretty much forever.
You shouldn't post photos or info you wouldn't want adults to see or people to know about you. Tubely, like the rest of the online world, is a public space. Members shouldn't post anything they wouldn't want the world to know (e.g., phone number, address, IM screen name, or specific whereabouts).
Tell your teens they should avoid posting anything that would make it easy for a stranger to find them, such as their local hangouts. Remind them not to post anything that could embarrass them in the future or expose them to danger. Although Tubely is public, teens sometimes forget that the information and photos they post are accessible to others. Just as in the offline world, people aren't always who they say they are. Remind your teens to be careful about adding strangers to their friends list.
It's fun to connect with new Tubely friends from all over the world, but members should be cautious when communicating with people they don't know. Encourage teens to be themselves, but to exercise the same basic safety principles they do in the physical world. They wouldn't chat with a stranger at the mall or give someone they don't know their cell phone number. Remind them that reckless online behavior can be just as dangerous. They should talk to you if they want to meet an online friend in person, and if you think it's safe, any meeting should take place in public, with friends or a trusted adult present. It is important to be aware and safe online at all times while you're using the Internet whether it be at school, work, home, or even on an Internet enabled mobile device such as a mobile phone, smart phone or a wireless personal digital assistant (PDA).
If an image violates Tubely's terms of use, the image and the profile will be deleted.

This desktop customization tool places a virtual art gallery at your fingertips. You could spend hours going through the Desktoptopia's amazing graphics and photos.Activating Desktoptopia is simply a matter of clicking on the desktop icon. Doing so introduces a taskbar icon for managing the wallpaper gallery. A right-click displays your menu options, including the preferences. There, you can manage the wallpaper rotations, including how often you want to change the wallpaper design. You can also manage your wallpaper feed categories. Forward and backward commands let you navigate the hundreds of designs. All of the designs looked extremely professional; some even award-worthy. The artist's name and, if available, homepage is displayed. If you like a particular wallpaper design, pausing or exiting the program will permanently set the design.A newer version of the program is available from the publisher, but we found nothing with the current version that needs to be changed. We were impressed by Desktoptopia's wallpaper design offerings. If you're tired of your current wallpaper, this free tool gives you seemingly endless possibilities."

Version 3.5 adds support to exporting content as Windows Vista sidebar gadgets and a host of improvements to support Windows Vista.Everybody who uses a computer customizes his or her desktop to some degree. With DesktopX you can mold your work space any way you like. Chock-full of themes, icon manipulators, and simple programs, DesktopX gives you an unlimited number of choices to freak out your desktop. The most unique feature of DesktopX is its ability to create and run simple programs, called objects, on your desktop. The default installation includes a variety of objects, such as a CNN Headline News ticker, an analog clock, and a simple MP3 player. You can easily download more objects. Interesting icon tweaks include expansion to just smaller than giant, as well as a feature that makes icons grow when you mouse over them. We like the themes, which provide a unique collection of objects, background images, and other tweaks that can switch your style in one swoop. All told, DesktopX offers extensive tools for redesigning your desktop.

Publisher's description of MP3 Pizza Timer
MP3-PizzaTimer is an easy to use Timer that counts down and plays your favorite music to remind you that you are supposed to complete a certain task. Move a MP3 music file per Drag&Drop on the MP3-Timer or choose the Eject button to select which music should play at the end of the countdown. To adjust the time that runs down use the +5,+1,-5,-1 buttons or enter the minutes and seconds directly in the time area or click on a special button to choose the exact point of time at when the countdown should end.If you have ongoing tasks throughout the day, this desktop alarm will keep you on track to the tune of your favorite song. We didn't understand the name, but we loved what it had to offer.MP3 Pizza Timer offers a sleek, easy-to-understand user interface composed of an oval-shaped window with the countdown clock at the top and buttons for selecting a target time (in military format) as well as the MP3s. There are also buttons for playing, stopping, and pausing the song. Shortcut buttons on both sides of the window let you add or remove time increments of one and five minutes. We liked the drag-and-drop support for easily grabbing MP3 files, and in our tests, the alarms went off as promised. The program comes with a very brief, how-to guide, but most users will find the interface very intuitive. With that in mind, we recommend this free desktop alarm for all users.
